The New S Orb 360 Degree Panorama Camera to be Featured in Samsung Galaxy Note 3

The same with every major smartphone launch for big tech companies, rumors are already flying around on the features surrounding the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Even if the launch date is still slated late this year, a lot of Android geeks are already sniffing around to be the first to know what’s in store for them from this popular Samsung model.

The ever watchful AndroidGeeks has this to say about the 360 degree photo technology integration, “We managed to get in touch with the software engineer that tipped us for the initial report and he confirmed for us that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be the company’s first terminal to come with S Orb out of the box.”

What an exciting time for 360 degree photo enthusiasts! AndroidGeeks continues, “The S Orb is Samsung’s name for the Photo Sphere feature that was introduced in October, synchronized with the debut of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The Photo Sphere, which is currently available on the Nexus family of devices, allows the users to take 360 degree panorama photos by snapping pictures in every direction, merge them into a Street View-like capture, then post them to Google Plus.”

And what’s the use of 360 degree images without sharing it to friends and family? The S Orb version that will be adding interest to the Galaxy Note 3 also comes with social networking sharing capabilities. Similar to YouSpin, it is expected to have an easy integration feature to Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and other online networks.

The current owners of Samsung mobile phones do not have to fret though as the S Orb will eventually make its way to earlier versions via a software update. However, the Galaxy Note 3 is still way off as the earliest prediction date that it will hit the market is this coming September, 2013.
